Mecure Grand Puka Park Resort is a romantic, secluded 5 star getaway set in 25 acres of native bushland near the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand's Pacific coast, a comfortable 2 hours drive east of Auckland. Blending with its environment, the resort is 'barely there' as it nestles in its surroundings. It is a few minutes walk from the lovely Pauanui beach. It's a 5 minute drive to the tiny settlement of Pauanui, which has just 500 residents.

Mecure Grand Puka Park is an experience in total seclusion and relaxation, yet it is close to a vast range of activities from golf and tennis to tandem skydiving. Rafting and canoe safaris operate on the nearby Tairua River; there is excellent game fishing offshore, and plenty of things to do on land including four wheel drive and four wheel bike safaris, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting. Expert staff at the resort can arrange them all. Mountain bikes are available for guest use, along with beach towels and tennis racquets.

Mecure Grand Puka Park has a superb health spa run by a German specialist and offering a wide range of massage and health treatments. The spa has 2 massage rooms, a sauna, hydro-massage air bath and a detoxification program. The main lodge, separate from guest chalets, has ocean views from its balcony and a large lounge with an open log fire for cooler nights. There is an elegant fine dining restaurant featuring Pacific Rim cuisine with a European touch, and the more casual Cafe Puka. Both have an extensive wine list. An imposing wood-panelled bar has something for virtually every taste.

The resort has 32 Treehut chalets and 15 larger and more luxuriously furnished bush chalets. All have private balconies and are set off bush pathways away from the main lodge. Beautifully furnished with comfortable settees and king or twin beds, guestrooms are redolent with native timbers.
