The
Dynasty Heritage Rotarua is a four-star chateau style 130-room hotel
at the southern end of Fenton Street, a few minutes walk from the Whakarewarewa
Thermal Reserve and opposite the international standard Arikikapakapa
18-hole golf course with its challenging geothermal hazards. The five-storey
hotel and its convention centre are built around an attractive inner
courtyard with a heated swimming pool and spa pool. It has three private
spas and a sauna indoors, along with a well-equipped gymnasium and massage
rooms. The resident masseur offers a choice of Aix (water) and traditional
styles of massage.
The hotel has 60
superior rooms on the lower floors with King and single beds and 53
executive rooms with two Queen beds. These rooms overlook either the
Redwood Forest, the pool or the golf course. There are eight suites
with separate bedroom, lounge and a balcony. All rooms are centrally
heated and have ceiling fans.
The
Caravel Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and a la carte lunch and
dinner overlooking the golf course while the Pavilion in the courtyard
serves snacks and a la carte meals in a lush conservatory setting. The
restaurants have vegetarian specials daily and special meals can be
prepared on request. There is 24-hour room service. McLardy's Irish
Pub offers a vast selection of beers, wines and spirits in lively surroundings.
