Day 1: Christchurch - Dunedin
Today board your scheduled coach to Dunedin. Travel across the Canterbury Plains to Aoraki/Mt Cook. See the crystal blue lakes and hydro electric power scheme in the Waitaki Valley before arriving in Oamaru. View the famous Moeraki boulders before arriving in Dunedin.

Day 2: Dunedin
This morning board the double decker bus for a 1½ hour tour of Dunedin’s historic sights. This afternoon you will be taken on a tour of the Otago Peninsula including the renowned Royal Albatross Colony (seasonal)

Day 3: Dunedin - Queenstown
Board the Taieri Gorge Train and enjoy the rugged, unspoiled landscape and the opportunity for sightseeing stops on the way. Experience the breath-taking views of this historic journey to Pukerangi where you will board your coach to continue your journey to Queenstown, adventure capital of New Zealand.

Day 4: Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. View the Mirror lakes as you continue through the Eglinton Valley. From the Homer Tunnel emerge into the Cleddau Valley. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat cruise, for an unforgettable experience, and explore the wonder of this majestic fiord. Journey to the mouth of the Sound and see the seals and dolphins which inhabit this part of the world. Return to Queenstown.

Day 5: Queenstown
A free day to enjoy the many leisure pursuits on offer. Local staff at “The Station” can assist with information and reservations for the huge selection of things to see and do.

Day 6: Queenstown - Franz Josef Glacier
Travel north today via Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Enjoy the rugged West Coast scenery through the Haast Pass and continue on to spectacular Franz Josef Glacier. We suggest a scenic Glacier flight (own expense) to enjoy the stunning scenery this region has to offer. (Please note: you will travel today on a scheduled coach operator service).

Day 7: Franz Josef – TranzAlpine - Christchurch
Today travel to Greymouth and board the scenic Tranz Alpine Express for a journey famous for its spectacular mountain scenery. Traverse the Southern Alps which divide the East and West coasts of the South Island. Travel across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch arriving at approximately 6.40 pm. (Please note: you will travel today on a scheduled coach operator service).
